'I Love You' - Kathleen White

Hi, Kath here today to share with you my take on the April challenge.  I simply love these dew drop from The Robin's Nest and drew inspiration from the way Tess used dots to accent her piece.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce this will be my last challenge with the XOXO girls. It has been my pleasure and joy to have been part of this creative team.

Kath, from the XOXO DT girls we wish you all the best with your future crafting and we thank you for being a part of our team ~ Tess

April's Scraplift - Signal Hill

Hi, It's Michelle! We are finally getting around to Spring weather in Newfoundland, Canada! It's funny that the picture I used on my page was from last year in March. We had took a "run" as they say (a drive) just after all the snow had finally melted. Got the kids posed and took a shot of the city in the background at the top of Signal Hill. Anyway, Here we are in 3rd week of April and there is still snow on the ground in the most Northeasterly point of North America!

So on to my lift, "I mixed it up!" Tess had mentioned seeing a boy spin on her inspiration. I started out going boy themed and then added some flourish and shimmer!

Here is Tess's inspiration:

Join us for the challenge and show us your lift!

Chocolate Easter Coma

Hoping everyone enjoyed a very Happy Easter yesterday.
If you are anything like me, I think I might be in a chocolate coma!
Well, I COULDN'T let my kids eat it all!  It's bad for them!! Haha!!
Well, I wanted to stop in today and share my lift for April!!!
This is my grandmother back in the 40's wearing her band cape and cap as a junior in high school.
I had a lot of fun with the misting and just getting to be a little messy!

And of course, my inspiration came from Tess' awesome "Another Selfie" layout!

Remember the best way to scraplift a page is to use it like a sketch. You can also draw inspiration for a couple of main elements and see where your page takes you. Just make sure you upload your link to the challenge link on the right hand side of our page. We want to see what you do and also give someone the chance to join us for the next couple of month as a guest design team member.

Signing off ~ Heather G.

All of the design team voted and came up with our guest DT member for April and May.... We are pleased to introduce

Heather Peterson

My name is Heather Peterson and I am from Salt Lake City, UT, USA. I have been Scrapbooking since the late '90's and I currently design for DCWV and Scrapbook USA Expo. I mostly design layouts but I do enjoy making cards and home dec. I have been learning photography as well! I am currently a stay at home mom to my 11 week old son, Henry, and we have a boxer named June. You will see the two of them in many of my layouts, although Henry is pretty much the star these days. He is my inspiration!

XOXO April Scraplift Challenge...

Hi Kim here and I have been asked to stay on as the newest Design Team member here on XOXO!  I'm so honored and look forward to sharing here monthly.

Following Tess's fabulous scrap lift I came up with a layout of my dad.  I wanted to have a masculine feel.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you create!  Remember to post your layout on the sidebar by April 30.  Hope you'll come by for a visit.

Disney Selfie

Kimmy here, with my take on Tess's layout.

I was inspired by her subject, a small vacation selfie containing 2 people.
I was also inspired by her layout design & stamping. I really need to bust out my stamps more, as I own a lot of them, but hardly use them on layouts. Thanks for the inspiration Tess!

I hope you too are inspired by Tess & the rest of the team. If so, post your inspired Layouts here on the blog ( see the upper right corner) and share with us!!

Welcome to April - 'Another Selfie' by Tess

Hi, Tess here. I want to start this challenge post with a big shout out to our wonderful XOXO followers. We are now a quarter of the way through to year already and most of your in the Northern Hemisphere would be starting to see Spring come to life! Us in the South are starting to see the daylight hours getting shorter and the weather turning colder.

So to brighten up all of our lives, here is the inspiration page for April.

Do you scrap more 'boy' or 'girl' styles? Scrapping 'girly' comes very natural to me and especially using the main colours of pinks, yellows, teals and whites. This page is no different and I really can't wait to see how some of you 'boy' this one up.
